Just got back to Atlanta a few days ago, after the big trip to Dallas and Tulsa.  Regina[info]hd_amazon and I went to my younger son's high-school graduation in Texas on May 29th, and stayed in the home of our good friends Brindle[info]brindle  and Mark[info]poisonkitty. Mary Leohr, who has starred in 3 of my movies, spent a lot of time hanging out with us. We hung around for a few days, then drove up to Oklahoma so I could rehearse and do a show with Los Reactors.

I hadn't even touched a musical instrument in almost 10 years, but after a couple of rehearsals it was like riding a bike. We rehearsed for 4 days, then did the show this past Saturday night, with Billy Joe Winghead opening.

The gig went very well.  The room was packed with lots of people, including many folks I hadn't seen since I moved away in 1983.  We sold out of T-shirts, CDs, as well as DVDs of my movies. Screamin' Steven of Billy Joe Winghead snapped a bunch of photos:

I got my hair cut last year, after I was finished with my part in my new movie.

BTW...in early September and again in late October, I'll be going out on the road to screen my new flick...where would you suggest that I do a Houston screening? I'm a little out of touch with who's doing what and where in the area.

For a Houston Screening, the first places which pop into my head are Helios (on Westheimer Blvd.), Super Happy Fun Land (on Ashland St.), Big Top (on Main St.), Club 1415 (on California St.), or my living room :-)

Thank you! Steve snapped a whole bunch of good photos. I also let him use my camera to take some shots...I haven't processed those yet.

So far nothing planned for Seattle, but I wouldn't rule it out. Is Scarecrow Video still around? I did a show in their screening room in 95.

I'm always looking for cute girls to be in my movies, though I usually shoot them in whatever city I'm living in at the moment.

Thanks! It was nice to meet you in the days before the show. Regina recognized you from your MySpace pic as you walked into the Mercury. I'm glad you came to the show and enjoyed it. It looks like I may be back in Tulsa in early September to show movies, and then again for the big Halloween bash in another Los Reactors show.

Hi Joe. Looks like you had fun. Went to Raleigh this past weekend to see Angry johnny and The Killbillies. Saw some the guys from The Caboose who asked how you were doing. Mark and I might be moving back to NC. Hampton SUCKS!

Yes, I did have a lot of fun. It was nice to see lots of people I hadn't seen in a while. I had also gotten fairly out of touch with the other guys in the band, so it was good to get together with them again.
I was just thinking about Raleigh and The Caboose. Where was the show? Moving back to Raleigh might be a good thing for you guys. I'll probably be coming through there in the Fall with my new movie.

The pic's are great, but you don't have enough of that good looking young drummer. You did great at the show, I had so much fun.
Keep practicing, and we'll knock em dead in NYC. We as a group need to try and go out for a drink in NYC.

Thanks. Steve only emailed me the pics that I'm in. He took a lot more that I haven't seen yet, including a couple of dozen I had him take on my camera, since Regina was watching the merch table during the show.
I had a great time at the show, as well. New York should be fun. Regina and I will be there for 4 nights, arriving the day before, and heading home the Monday after the show...so I imagine we'll be getting together for drinks, etc.
